Exclusivity
When you hold your reception at Barnston Lodge, you have the grounds at your disposal for the whole day – no other weddings competing with you, no other music can be heard – only one event takes place per day – yours.
Unique Features
You can position your marquee wherever it suits you – choose your own view! We also have the ‘Brew House’ – an ancient building, once a cart lodge, with a large open fire, which can be a ‘quiet room’ for some of the older guests later in the evening. A range of sports and games can be set up on the lawn for the younger guests to occupy themselves while the adults relax and enjoy the magical atmosphere that Barnston Lodge creates.
Civil Ceremonies
It is envisaged that Barnston Lodge will be able to conduct Civil Ceremonies in the near future. Please speak to us if this is something that may interest you. Alternatively, ask us for our list of local Registry Offices.
Accommodation
There are over 100 rooms available locally, from Country Hotels to budget motels. Just ask us for details. Local taxi companies can be arranged to take your guests away. Cars may be left overnight at Barnston Lodge, but strictly at the owners risk.
Photography
Barnston Lodge is a photographers dream, with the Georgian Mansion as a backdrop, the lawns, rose garden, lakes, stables and the two hundred acres of farmland, your pictures are guaranteed to be stunning.
Catering
We have approved caterers and wine merchants, but you are welcome to plan all this yourself. We can supply some guide prices for your catering on request. Some of our guests have been known to drive straight from Calais to Barnston with all their wine requirements!
